Rosetta I. Ferguson

Rosetta I. Ferguson, 82, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:25 A.M., Friday, August 30, 2002 at the Pinckneyville Health Care Center.
Rosetta was a homemaker and had worked at Du Quoin Garment Co. and as a cook at the Du Quoin Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin.
She was born January 17, 1920 at Roseville, IL the daughter of Albert and Opal (Taylor) Fones.
She married Carl E. Ferguson in 1938 at Du Quoin and he passed away in 1946. She then married William H. Ferguson October 26, 1946 at Du Quoin and he passed away February 16, 1990.
She is survived by three sons- Jim Ferguson of Tamaroa, Kenneth Ferguson of Du Quoin and William Joseph Ferguson of Ely, Nev., three sisters- Ruth Heiman of St. Charles, IL, Mary Blythe of Swanwick, IL, Loraine Walkinghorse of Philcampbell, Alab., three brothers- Dale Fones of Rochester, NY, Richard Fones and Frank Fones both of Galesburg, IL, sister-in-law, Helen Jean Leehy of Du Quoin, tweleve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two sisters- Ellen Dunn and Edna Denton, three brothers- Russell, Fritz and Albert Fones Jr.
Funeral services were at 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 2, 2002 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. M. Shaw DeMent officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery.
